That’s fine — we also accept typed, Word, PDF, and photographed/scanned handwritten pages. The format doesn’t change your package fee, but it can affect how much preparation is needed before editing starts.

No. Publishing package fees cover editorial, design and production services — bulk printing is always quoted separately, based on your book’s specifications.

By number of copies, page count, book size, paper type, black-and-white vs. colour interior, and binding/finishing. Try the printing estimate tool for a starting figure.

A physical (or appropriate digital) sample produced before bulk printing so you can check the cover, interior pages, layout and colour. Bulk production only starts after you approve it.

Our standard publishing process is approximately 14 working days, subject to manuscript condition, editing needs, design complexity, and timely author approvals. Bulk printing has its own separate timeline, confirmed with your printing quotation.

On Amazon, 100% of royalties are yours since it’s your own KDP account. If your book sells through our own online shop, that’s a 70/30 split (70% to you). See the full royalties breakdown.

We support Kindle e-book listing through your own Amazon KDP account. We don’t currently produce standalone EPUB files outside of that.

Bookstore placement may be arranged or supported on a case-by-case basis, depending on the title, quantity and retailer terms — it isn’t a guaranteed part of any package.

Amazon gives your book access to an international marketplace, subject to Amazon’s own rules and requirements. Beyond that, wider physical distribution is arranged case-by-case, not guaranteed.

Yes. Our confidentiality (NDA) process legally binds Chance Publishers and every staff member who sees your manuscript not to disclose or use it outside delivering your publishing services.

We accept bank transfer, M-Pesa (where enabled, via STK push from your author portal invoice) and cash or cheque in person at our office. Full detail is in the Payment Policy.

A fixed NDA processing fee is payable when your project starts. Your chosen package (Bronze, Silver or Gold) is then split into a 70% deposit, payable with your NDA fee, and a 30% balance due before your final, print-ready files are released. Printing is quoted and invoiced separately.

It depends on the stage your project has reached — see the full Refund Policy for what is refundable at each stage. As a starting point: fees are refundable in full before work begins, partially refundable once work has started but is not complete, and non-refundable once the covered work has been delivered to you.

Yes. Every payment is verified by our finance team (or automatically, for M-Pesa) before it is marked as paid. "Pending" just means that check has not happened yet.

Every invoice and receipt for a verified payment is available in your author portal for as long as you need it.
