Refund Policy

We want you to feel confident paying for our services. This policy explains when a refund is available, because our work is service-based — once our editors, designers and layout artists begin work on your project, that time and effort has genuinely been spent.

NDA processing fee

The NDA processing fee covers the preparation, review and administration of your signed Non-Disclosure Agreement. It is non-refundable once your NDA has been generated, as this reflects work already completed on your behalf.

Publishing package deposit (70%)

• Full refund, less any bank/M-Pesa transaction charges — if requested before any editorial, design or layout work on your project has started.
• Partial refund — if work has started but not been completed, we will refund the portion of your deposit corresponding to services not yet delivered, based on the stage your project has reached.
• Non-refundable — once editorial, design and layout work covered by the deposit has been fully delivered to you for review.

Publishing package balance (30%)

The balance is invoiced once your book is ready for final approval, so it is payable for work already completed. If you choose not to proceed to printing after this stage, the balance already paid is non-refundable, but your final files remain unreleased until you decide how you wish to proceed.

Printing costs

Because printing is produced to your exact specification and cannot be resold, printing payments are non-refundable once your files have been sent to print. If an error in printing is our fault (for example, a printing defect not matching your approved proof), we will reprint the affected copies at no extra cost, or refund the affected portion — whichever is more appropriate.

Requesting a refund

To request a refund, contact us using the details below, quoting your project or invoice number. We aim to review and respond to refund requests within 5 working days. Approved refunds are paid back through the same method the original payment was made, where possible.

Cancellations by Chance Publishers

In the rare event that we are unable to complete a service you have paid for, we will refund the full amount paid for that undelivered service.
